About Us

St. Mary's Parish

Our Mission Statement

We, the members of St. Mary Parish (The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish) in Greenleaf, Wisconsin are people rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ.  As members of the Roman Catholic church, we are guided by the Holy Spirit, the Scriptures, our Catholic Tradition, especially the Second Vatican Council, and our special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, our patroness.
Called by our baptism to grow as the People of God, we proclaim Jesus Christ as our Savior in:  1) evangelization; 2) worship and sacrament; 3) the Scriptures and total Catholic education; and 4) Christian stewardship and social justice.

We are called to evangelize by proclaiming and communicating to this community and the world the saving message of Jesus Christ, so that others may believe in Him.  We worship the Father, Son and the Holy spirit through our personal prayer, community worship and the celebration of the sacraments.  We foster the reading and appreciation of Scripture and share the Christian message through total Catholic education for all people.
As a Catholic community we are dedicated to affirm and strengthen the dignity of all people.  We commit ourselves to Christian stewardship through the sacrificial giving of our time, talent and treasure for the growth of the local and universal church.  We pledge to work for social justice by working for a just and peaceful society and by supporting outreach programs that respond to those in need.
In our mission we commit ourselves to Jesus' command:  "Love one another, as I have loved you."
